Inspiration is cames naturally. The passion and inspiration comes from the mind. Each person is unique in their own ways and inspiration is all around, but it is our choice to take that inspiration in and expand.

From my perspective, I’m a type of person that rarely feels inspired. Inspiration doesn’t come easy to me because I never seemed interested either in a particular topic or have the mindset to take it all in. However, this rare moment after watching a little video about Ed Ruscha, it spark that fire in me to take his mindset and making it into my own.

The mindset on trying new things and breaking out of your comfort zone is key into gaining inspiration.

I would have never thought that I would enjoy watching a video about Ed Ruscha. I didn’t know he existed before watching and researching about him. His artwork and mindset was inspiring that it hit my rare moments because his artwork was his own and he didn’t compare his work to others. He was proud of everything he put out and I wanted to feel that satisfaction as well.

A couple of days after, I took the knowledge that I gained from that video and went back to my creative side. I drew an outline of a normal owl and with the blank spaces, I added patterns to make it inhase it more into my style of art. For once, I took charge of my abilities and inspiration. I was proud of this art piece.

If I, a person that rarely have inspirational moments, can create something out of inspiration, anyone can do it. When you have a mindset that is inspired, you are unstoppable.

Inspiration comes from being passionate and yourself. The best you comes out when you are passionate and believe in yourself with the work you produce.

Ed Ruscha is a great inspiration that many should look up to. He takes his observation of places/objects combine with his creativity to create magnificent pieces of artwork that was inspiring. All the fonts and architect he showcase through his painting/drawing made me inspirited to branch out from the ordinary into the extraordinary.

This past week I had some free time to myself. I got into drawing again. I took a drawing of an ordinary owl and added patterns to the whole owl to get out of my comfort zone and embraced my creativity. I made the ordinary own into my own. This was the first piece of artwork that I was proud of in a long time.
